Baku hosts meeting of Agricultural Subcommittee of Azerbaijani-Hungarian inter-governmental commission
Baku, March 13 (AZERTAC). A meeting of the Agricultural Subcommittee of the Azerbaijani-Hungarian inter-governmental commission has been held in Baku.
Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bahram Aliyev and officials of the Ministry and Hungary - by delegation consisting of Hungarian businessmen and led by the State Secretary of the Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development Gyula Budai.
Aliyev underlined great opportunities for development of bilateral relations. He informed about “Azerbaijan-2020: View into future” conception and noted that this document includes 4 directions on agriculture: “These are plant-growing, animal-breeding, soil productivity and marketing. For the present, our goal is to increase the productivity and ensure food safety”.
In turn, Budai stressed that they are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan: “Hungary has experience in seed-growing, export of large-horned animals and environmental protection and we’d be glad to collaborate in this sphere”.
