`Belarus and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate in military-technical area`
Minsk, July 9, AZERTAC
“Belarus and Azerbaijan successfully cooperate in the military-technical area,” said Belarus deputy defense minister Andrey Burdiko as he addressed a reception arranged by the embassy of Azerbaijan in Minsk on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Army.
Burdiko said that cooperation between the two countries is developing in all fields.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Belarus Latif Gandilov highlighted the history and achievements of the Azerbaijani Army. He noted that after restoration of independence in 1991, Azerbaijan was subjected to Armenia`s military aggression. “But after coming to power in 1993 national leader Heydar Aliyev established a disciplined Army,” Gandilov said.
The event participants then viewed a photo exhibition reflecting the history of development of the Azerbaijani Army and watched a video of the military parade held in Baku on June 26.
