Book on Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev published in Vietnamese language

A Vietnamese-language version of "Heydar Aliyev" book from "Life of Remarkable People" series has been launched at Azerbaijan's embassy in Hanoi.

According to the Embassy, participants in the event included officials of Vietnam`s Communist Party, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government bodies, diplomats, representatives of higher education institutions, Vietnamese graduates of Azerbaijani universities and media representatives.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani ambassador to Vietnam Anar Imanov highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev services to the Azerbaijani state and people. He told about Azerbaijan`s achievements under the Soviet Union and during the years of independence, saying they were possible thanks to national leader Heydar Aliyev's wisdom and political foresight. The ambassador also emphasized the role of national leader in the preservation of Azerbaijan`s independence and restoration of stability in the country.

Ambassador Imanov drew the audience`s attention to Azerbaijan`s energy strategy founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, which became a guarantor of the country`s state independence and economic development.

He also highlighted the national leader`s role in the development of friendly relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Vietnam. The ambassador said hundreds of Azerbaijani specialists were sent to Vietnam to contribute to the establishment of the country’s oil industry, thousands of Vietnamese came to study in Baku after the visit of Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam as first deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Soviet Union.

Imanov expressed his confidence that the book will help promote the Vietnamese society`s awareness of the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan’s history.
