“By the end of 2026, it is planned to resettle 42,000 people to the city of Aghdam and surrounding villages," said executive director of the public legal entity "Recovery, Construction and Management Service in the Karabakh Economic Region" Ovsat Hamidov as he addressed the meeting of the working group on urban planning held in Agdham.

The master plan for Aghdam city is the first among other liberated regions that was developed and went public. According to him, important works have been done in Agdham, both in demining and in construction of basic infrastructure. Restoration of historical and cultural monuments is also underway, Hamidov emphasized.
