CARICATURES EXHIBITION HELD IN SUMGAIT

The fourth republican exhibition of artist-caricaturists is being held in picture gallery of Sumgait. About 80 works by 15 caricaturists were presented on the opening day. Caricatures of famous political figures and masters of art were displayed there.

Chairman of the Association of Caricaturists, senior artist of the “Kirpi” magazine, international contests laureate Hafiz Nasiroglu noted that the association affiliates 29 artists. In 2006, it is planned to hold an international exhibition of caricaturists to be devoted to the 100th anniversary of the first edition of the satiric magazine “Molla Nasraddin”
