CASPIAN INTEGRATION BUSINESS CLUB DISCUSSED ISSUES OF CO-OP
Speaking at the sitting, the Russian diplomat noted that the Club has been founded to boost the negotiation process on definition of legal status of the Caspian. Mr. Kalyuzhny underlined that quick settlement of the question would create favorable conditions for active development of the Caspian coastal states. Deputy foreign minister of the Russian Federation noted that after several years Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan arrived reached consensus on many issues, and the position of Iran and Turkmenistan last times has been also changed.
“We have done tremendous work that enables to speak of the positive move in the negotiation process. There are discords and they demand interference of heads of the Caspian littoral states”, Mr. Kalyuzhny said, noting that the 13th sitting of the special group on working out of the Convention on legal status of the Caspian that ended in Baku, made positive contributions in achievement common agreement on the mentioned issue.
Speaking of the position of Moscow in the field of use of bio-energy resources of the Caspian, the diplomat reminded that Russia adheres the principle of “multi-vector’ both in the economic and political aspect. He stated that the sides should, not awaiting adoption of the declaration on legal status of the Caspian, develop the talks on the base of the reached bilateral agreements.
