CEC CONTINUES SEMINAR-TRAININGS
Beginning from august 2003, the central elections commission has been conducting seminar-trainings aimed at raising professional skills of the precinct and district election commissions staff, introduce them with necessary skills connected to the election process. The seminars are dedicated to voting procedure, counting of votes, filling the resulting polling protocol and to holding practical actions.
The trainings are conducted by a group led by chief of International Ties Department of the CEC’s Secretariat Rovzet Gasimov. The 13 members of the expert group have passed a special course to conduct seminars and attained international certificates.
Seminars in over 85 constituents have already been completed.
These actions are being implemented in association with the International Fund for Electoral Systems (IFES). Seminars in 39 constituencies are conducted directly by IFES.
