Due to well-known events in Tbilisi the regular sitting of the parliament of Georgia was not conducted in the passed week and the present one started on November 19 dragged on. At the beginning of the sitting president of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze expressed his attitude to recent events and urged the state employees to pursue the interests of Georgia. The president criticized the State Broadcasting Corporation and stressed that necessary action to put things in order would be taken.
Expressing his discontent, President wondered about why the TV channel supports the opposition rather than the Government.
