    CHIEF OF UNEP`S REGIONAL OFFICE FOR EUROPE TO VISIT BAKU

    Baku, May 27 (AZERTAC). Director of the UN Environment Program`s (UNEP) Regional Office for Europe Christophe Bouvier will arrive in Baku to participate in an event organized by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources on the occasion of World Environment Day (WED).

    The events to mark the World Environment Day include meetings, cycle races, concerts, cleaning of territories. This year, the WED will be marked in Italian city Genoa, Switzerland`s Geneva and Azerbaijani capital Baku on May 5, 2010.

    In 2009, Mexico hosted the World Environment Day under the motto “Your planet needs you”.
