CIS Executive Committee hosts meeting of Council of Permanent Representatives

A regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS with the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth was held in Minsk. Chairman of CIS Executive Committee Sergei Lebedev took part in the meeting that discussed the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the CIS Heads of Government, which is slated for October 28.
Heads of Government are expected to discuss 20 issues, including the course of execution of a free trade zone agreement, the forecast of production and consumption of energy resources of the CIS countries for the period until 2030, the priority actions in the field of humanitarian cooperation in the medium term. In addition, the draft agenda includes issues relating to cooperation in the mining industry, automotive industry, in the sphere of combating the production and distribution of counterfeit products as well as in the field of legal education of consumers. The meeting will also discuss the documents regulating cooperation in the construction and development of the information society, hydro-meteorological activities, formation and development of intellectual property market.
