CIS Interparliamentary Assembly delegation visits Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission

A delegation of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly led by commission head at Belarus National Assembly Valentin Mikhnevich has visited Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov informed the delegation about the preparations for the presidential elections. He said that around 5,315,000 electors are expected to cast ballots at 5,641 polling stations on April 11. He said 118 representatives of 51 international media outlets will be covering the elections. Panahov noted that over 890 international and around 59,000 local observers will be monitoring the voting.
Minkhevich hailed preparations for the elections. He said they will be closely monitoring the voting at polling stations on April 11. The head of the delegation expressed his confidence that the elections will be held in a democratic and transparent manner.
