CIS countries approve documents on youth cooperation

The CIS Executive Committee in Minsk has held a meeting of an expert group to finalize a draft agreement on the Regulations on CIS states’ backbone organization on work with youth and the Regulations on CIS states’ backbone organization on the development of youth entrepreneurship.
Experts finalized and approved draft provisions, proposing that the Executive Committee submit the documents the Council of the CIS Heads of Government for consideration.
The backbone organization for youth is being created in order to improve the scientific and methodological support of the process of formation and realization of youth policy, training, retraining and advanced training, methodological support of specialists and intensification of international youth cooperation.
The document proposes giving the status of the backbone organization to the Moscow Technological University to enable it improve the scientific and analytical, informational and methodological support for specialists working with young people in order to increase the efficiency of youth policy in CIS.
The status of the backbone organization for the development of youth entrepreneurship will reportedly be given to the Russian Center for Youth Entrepreneurship, which will focus on improving the scientific-analytical, informational and methodological support for youth entrepreneurship in CIS.
Some 59 backbone organizations operate in CIS countries in various areas, including 25 in the humanitarian sphere.
