CIS experts to discuss health protection questions
Baku, March 12 (AZERTAC). On March 12-13, the CIS Executive Committee is said to host a session of the expert group for agreement of Protocol draft on cooperation in health protection to agree amendments and changes to the said document.
As known, the Agreement was signed in June 1992, to ensure and strengthen the interstate activities in public health sphere. A special Health Cooperation Council was set up to implement the Agreement. The Council comprises health ministers and sanitary chiefs of CIS member states.
Under the Agreement, the Council members will gather once a year, but not twice as it was before, in one of the CIS countries.
The upcoming meeting, the third, will hold expert discussions. The previous document was considered unsatisfactory, so, the Council will make new amendments in the text.
After the experts will reach agreement, the draft will be submitted to the CIS heads of governments for discussion.
