International conference on subject ‘Cooperation in the field of power engineering in Central Asia and process of Energy Charter’ was held in Tashkent.

The Conference was organized by secretariat of Energy Charter and Government of Uzbekistan. Representatives of Central Asian states, Russia, Japan, Southern Korea, China, Turkey and Iran as well as international organizations and business circles took part at the conference. ‘Cooperation between the countries of Central Asia in the field of power engineering is guarantee of long-term economic stability in the region’, Secretary General of the Energy Charter Mr. Riya Kemper stressed.

Participants of the conference have discussed creation of favorable investment environment in the field of power engineering in the Central Asia states, effectiveness increase of utilization of the energy resources in the region, including issues of creation auspicious conditions for oil, gas and electric power transportation.

Conference was attended by Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan Aydin Azimbayov.
