COUNCIL OF FEDERATION OF RUSSIA WILL SEND OBSERVERS TO PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN AZERBAIJAN

The Council of Federation will send to Azerbaijan the deputies of the upper chamber to monitor the Presidential Elections, Segey Mironov, Chairman of the Council, of Federation of the Federal Assembly of Russia said in the interview with Moscow-based correspondent of AzerTAj. The Council of Federation of the Russian Federation has already received the invitation from the Azerbaijani party to send a group of monitors, he said. This group, consisting of deputies of the Council of Federation and State Duma, is to start for Azerbaijan on the eve of the elections.

The Speaker of the upper chamber Mironov stated that he is sure that the Presidential Elections in Azerbaijan will be held according to the international standards, basing on democratic principles. People of Azerbaijan will determine what leader they will give their votes to, he said.
