Chief veterinarian of Israeli Safari zoo visits bear sanctuary in Azerbaijan’s Altiaghaj settlement

Baku, March 18, AZERTAC

The Embassy of Israel in Azerbaijan has initiated a visit of Chief veterinarian of the Safari zoo in Israel and Director of the Israel’s Wildlife hospital Yigal Horowitz to Azerbaijan, the Embassy told AZERTAC.

Together with Deputy Chief of Mission at Israel’s Embassy in Baku Doron Pe’er, Horowitz visited the bear sanctuary in Altiaghaj settlement of Khizi district, and examined 10 brown bears.

“Horowitz had a constructive dialogue with Farid Mansurov - President of GWARP (Good World Animal Rescue & Protection Inc) and Kamilla Mishiyeva - VP of GWARP, who are managing the sanctuary and agreed to continue this cooperation in order to improve the life conditions and medical treatment of the bears, and to create a cooperation between experts of the two countries,” the Embassy said.
