Common activity strategy between Diaspora organizations of Turkic-speaking countries singed
Baku, May 15 (AZERTAC). A common activity strategy between Diaspora organizations of Turkic-speaking countries was singed on Tuesday in Ankara.
The document was signed at the second gathering of member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States.
The event brought together heads of Diaspora organizations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
President of the Department of Turks Overseas & Relative Communities, Kemal Yurtnac spoke about the importance of the gathering.
Deputy chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan Valeh Hajiyev said Turkish peoples should unite as a common Diaspora to solve problems of the Turkic world. He also stressed the importance of a decision on holding the First Forum of heads of Diaspora organizations of member countries of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in Baku this June.
Vice-president of the Department of Turks Overseas & Relative Communities, Bekir Bozdag said joint activity of Diaspora organizations abroad would play an important role in solution of some problems. Bozdag noted Department of Turks Overseas & Relative Communities had done a lot to achieve goals in this direction.
The gathering participants also discussed a program of the First Forum of heads of Diaspora organizations of member countries of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States to be held in June 21 in Baku.
The first meeting of member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was held on January 24-25 this year in Baku.
