“Leaving the European Union would be a disaster for the Czech Republic,” said Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš in an interview to the German newspaper Bild.
“We now need a strong Europe. Europe has problems and we need unity in foreign policy and trade policy.”
“The European Union is a great project, on the basis of which we have lived in peace for 73 years. The Brexit is bad and we have to prevent it from happening again,” the PM noted.
Andrej Babis mentioned that the EU Union needs a reform, because there are countries that do not fulfill the Maastricht criteria for deficit and debt.
Touching upon the issues of migration, the PM said: “I believe that the next European elections will prove what the silent majority actually thinks about illegal migration.”
