DAYS OF AZERBAIJAN CULTURE IN US DEVOTED
A press conference was dedicated to the visit of the rector of Baku Slavonic University Kamal Adullayev to the United States. Days of Azerbaijan Culture were carried out for the first time at the Institute of Harriman of the Columbia University, New York, on November 20. Rector of Baku Slavonic University, Head of the Fund of Azerbaijani Culture, professor Kamal Abdulla has been invited to the Institute of Harriman, to give a lecture. The subject of his lecture was ‘Prospects of Eurasian ideas in Azerbaijan’ and is dedicated to the history of Eurasian ideas.
It should be noted that the Institute of Harriman is one of the research centers of the United States. The main subjects of the centers’ research are the former soviet republics.
Initiative of carrying out the days of Azerbaijani culture in the American University belongs to the ‘Union of Azerbaijani students’, attached to the Columbian University. The main goal of this measure is to propagandize Azerbaijani culture in the United States.
There was reached an agreement on exchange of students between the University of Harriman and Baku Slavonic University.
