DAYS OF KOREAN CINEMA UNDERWAY IN AZERBAIJAN
At the opening ceremony taken place on October 17, at the Baku Entertaining Center the deputy minister of culture Sevda Mammadaliyeva, film director Oktay Mirkasimov, the ambassador of Korea in Baku Moon Khayong and chairman of the Azerbaijani-Korean Association of Cultural Exchange “SEBA” on Korea Su Khun Li in the statements have expressed to the president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the president of Fund of the Friends to the Azerbaijan Culture, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva deep gratitude for assistance in the organization of such actions.
Having noted that present action becomes extremely important event in the cultural life of Azerbaijan, will help the Azerbaijan public to familiarize directly with the Korean culture, will serve deepening of relations between two peoples, the orators have emphasized that carrying out of Days of the Korean cinema in Baku is fine example of cooperation of two countries in the field of culture and art. The friendship and brotherhood of two peoples will receive further development, and the cultures will enrich each other due to mutual contacts.
Then, a feature film, “The united safety zone”, shot by director Chan Bu Pak has been shown.
