On Application of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic

“On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers”

With a view to insure the application of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic

“On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers” owing to its coming into force, I hereby decree:

1. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic shall, within two months:

- submit to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic proposals on bringing the legislative acts in conformity with the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers.”;

- ensure bringing the normative legal acts of the Cabinet of Ministers in conformity with the Law, and report to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic;

- prepare and submit to the President of the Azerbaijan Republic the draft legislative act to define the sorts of responsibilities for violation of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers”;

- draw up and approve the form of insurance contract;

- resolve other issues resulting from the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers”;

2. It shall be determined that

- powers of the “relevant executive body” envisaged by the Article 10.1.2.2 of the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic “On Obligatory Insurance of Passengers” are executed by the Ministry of Health of the Azerbaijan Republic.

- powers of the “relevant executive body” envisaged by the Article 10.2 of the same law are executed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs

3. The present Decree comes into force from the day of promulgation.
