    DEFENSE MINISTERS OF BULGARIA AND AZERBAIJAN SINGES COOPERATION PLAN

    2004 cooperation plan has been approved and signed by the Defense Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Bulgaria. According to the Defense Ministry press service, for Azerbaijan, the document was signed by defense Minister, General-Colonel Safar Abiyev and for Bulgaria, by defense Minister Nikolay Svinarov.

    Minister Safar Abiyev announced that Bulgaria would be admitted as a full member to the North Euro-Atlantic Alliance during 2004 Istanbul summit. According to him, development of military links with Bulgaria and study of the country’s experience in this sphere is of paramount importance to Azerbaijan.
