Deliveries to the Batumi port of pipes for the construction of the Azerbaijani sector of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline project have been completed. According to the Georgian International Oil Corporation, deliveries of pipes for the Georgian section of the pipeline via the port of Poti would also be completed in a month's time after the last consignment of pipes is delivered.
That would mart the end of the stage for deliveries of technical facilities for the construction of the pipeline in Georgia.
So far 55 km of the pipeline have been strung and 45km of it welded into place and 18km of the pipeline laid. The total cost spent by the Georgian side on construction work is about 8 273 000 lari.
