DEPARTMENT OF STATE TO FINANCE CREATION OF MASTER – PLAN ON DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM IN AZERBAIJAN

The American company becoming the winner of the tender, declared by Agency on development of the trade, being a structure of the US Department of State, will prepare a master - plan on development of tourist branch of Azerbaijan. Informing about it to journalists, minister of youth, sports and tourism Abulfaz Garayev noted that the budget of this project makes 308 thousand US dollars, twenty percent of this sum will be directed for needs of the Azerbaijan side for consultation of experts, transport charges. After signing the document in Baku, about the beginning of the project on the site of Agency, information on the tender in which only the American companies can take part, will be placed. The winner of the tender will be determined in consent of the Ministry and the Agency.

Speaking about the importance for Azerbaijan of such full-scale document, the Minister has emphasized, that it becomes essential stimulus for the foreign investors, wishing to invest in tourist sphere.

According to the Minister, after the coordination of some details in the Cabinet and President Office in the spring of this year signing the document on the announcement of the project is expected. The master - plan should be ready to September 2005.
