DEPUTY CHAIRMAN OF RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT GALINA KARELOVA ARRIVED IN BAKU
Galina Karelova was briefly interviewed at the airport.
Q: Dear Ms. Galina Karelova, we ask you to inform on your visit’s purpose
A: It is my first visit to Baku. Main purpose of my visit is to participate in the 5th World Congress of Russian Press. Within the frames of my visit I will meet with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and my colleagues. I am very much keen on work associated with tackling social problems. Then, I will visit Baku Russian schools, Slavic University.
Q: You are mainly interested in social field. Will you meet with refugees?
A: Yes, the meeting with refugees has been scheduled. The program of the visit is very busy and there are many meetings scheduled.
Q: What fields do you intend to cooperate? What are you mainly keen on?
A: We want to cooperate in scientific, educational, cultural, health and other humanitarian fields. First of all, I will familiarize myself with the realization of agreements, have been earlier reached in on cooperation in these fields.
In the mid-day, the guest got acquainted with Baku city and laid flowers to the Monument of the great Russian poet A.S. Pushkin.
