Draft Law on Provision of Pensions for State Employees was considered at a regular sitting of the Milli Majlis permanent commission on Social Policy.

Chairman of the commission Hadi Rajabli noted that the Draft submitted to the Parliament at the President’s initiative is aimed at adjusting order of provision of the pensions for state employees.

The Draft says that pensions for employees retired voluntarily will be determined based on seniority.

Thus, the state employee who worked at least 5 years in public service is enabled to get pension. Depending on the term of service it is scheduled to pay pension to the person with track record 5-10 years – 60 percent of the state salary, 10-15 – 65 percent, 15-20 – 70 percent, 20-25 years – 75 percent, over 25 years – 80 percent.

The project does not imply pensions for discharged persons or the ones who waived the citizenship of Azerbaijan.
