ECONOMIC CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN FOREIGN MINISTRIES OF AZERBAIJAN AND TURKY
In consultations, deputy foreign minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev led the delegation of Azerbaijan, and deputy foreign minister of Turkey Ender Arat - the Turkish delegation.
At the meeting, discussed were the positions stipulated by the executive plan on realization of the Agreement on long-term economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and also offers on development of economic cooperation between two countries at a bilateral, regional and global level. At the meeting, the attention has been given to projects of the Kars –Tbilisi-Baku railway, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Baku—Tbilisi-Erzurum gas main, carried out exchange of opinions on opportunities of further connection of other countries to the given projects, the question of greater strengthening of links of businessmen. Also have been mentioned the questions existing within the framework of the Organization of Economic Cooperation (ECO) and the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, importance of continuation of joint efforts in this area.
At the meeting, also were focused on opportunities of rendering by Turkey assistance during Azerbaijan’s admission to the World Trade organization (WTO).
