ECO Secretary General hails Azerbaijan`s contribution to organization’s activities

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri, who is on a visit to the country to attend the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement Contact Group in response to COVID-19.
Discussions revolved around the implementation of ECO strategies and programs during Azerbaijan`s chairmanship in 2023, as well as promotion of "ECO-2025" visions and cooperation within ECO.
Noting that Azerbaijan maintains extensive cooperation with a number of ECO member states, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov pointed out that the country works closely with them on international platforms including within the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM).
FM Bayramov also highlighted the ongoing restoration and reconstruction works in Karabakh region started immediately after its liberation.
ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to the activities of ECO, as well as the country’s chairmanship of the organization in 2023.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
