The III Eurasian Media Forum has opened today, on 22 April, in Almaty. Around 400 journalists, analysts, scientists, researchers, experts, and politicians from more than 50 world countries participate in it, AzerTAJ correspondent reports. The forum participants will be discussing a number of political, economic, and media subjects for three days. Special attention will be paid to the coverage of these problems in media. It is planned to discuss the role of media during election campaigns, the role of international organisations in the recovery of media structures in conflict countries, the development tendencies of state, public, and commercial media and problems of interaction between authorities and journalists, issues of providing security for journalists and prospects of developing the entertainment industry in the region.
