First session, presided by Italy, of the Council of Ministers of foreign affairs of the European Union commences on 21 July.
On tradition, it commenced with debates on program proposed by Rome for the semiannual presidency at the EU. The document was presented by head of the Italian FM, Franco Frattini. The priorities of the Italian program – was to conduct inter-governmental conference of EU and prepare for signing the union Constitution.
The agenda included issues of settlement of Palestine-Israeli conflict, treatment with Iran, situation in Iraq, complete abolishment of the capital death and others.
