EXECUTIVE ORDER OF PRESIDENT OF THE AZERBAIJAN REPUBLIC
After re-gaining of state independence in the Azerbaijan Republic, the law-enforcement bodies had a special role in ensuring social stability in the country and strengthening of statehood and today they perform their professional duties worthily.
At the same time, in the Republic of Azerbaijan marching along the legal and democratic state building way, the reforms in the law-enforcement bodies should also deepen and widen, its activity be brought to conformity with international standards and improved its material-technical protection.
Aiming at improvement of activity of the law-enforcement bodies, strengthening its material-technical base and social security of the personnel in protection of human rights and freedoms, maintenance of social order in the country, combat against criminality and realization of other tasks stipulated in the legislation, I, hereby, resolve:
1. To approve the state program (2004-2008) on improvement of activity of the law-enforcement bodies in the Azerbaijan Republic.
2. Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic
- to ensure allotment of the necessary means required for realization of the State Program approved by this Order in forming state budget for 2005-2008;
- to solve other questions resulting from this Order.
3. The Order comes into effect on the signing day.
