Rapid socio-economic and democratic development of the Azerbaijan Republic last years, growth of the country`s international authority have assigned new tasks of mass media. At the present stage, when on global information sphere there are important changes, widely are applied new information technologies, bringing to the international public of the objective information on Azerbaijan and all-round informing of our society on events taken place in the world demand taking of purposeful measures on strengthening of the activity of mass media.

Taking into account special importance of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) in operative dissemination of information on the Azerbaijan Republic, and also in high-grade informing of the public on the world events, with a view of improvement of its activity I hereby decide:

1. To increase number of correspondent points of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency in foreign countries.

2. To create at the Foreign Languages Editorial of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency the multimedia and video service.

3. To provide information releases of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency also in German, French and Arab languages.

4. The Cabinet of the Azerbaijan Republic shall in two-month term:

4.1. solve the logistics and financing questions connected with maintenance of activity of the correspondent points which will be created on the basis of point 1, the multimedia and video service created according to point 2, and information releases in the foreign languages established by point 3 of the present Order;

4.2. approve number limit of workers of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency;

4.3. with a view of building of a new office building of the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency to take necessary measures on assignment of the corresponding land site.

4.4. solve other questions resulting from the present Order.
