Egypt keen in cooperation with Azerbaijan in tourism field

Representatives of Egypt's tourism industry institutions met with the chairmanship of International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) during their visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting held at the IEPF’s Baku office participated Egyptian Hotel Chamber President Mr. Mohamed Ayoub, Head of Egyptian Tourist Authority Prague Office Mr. Mohamed Desouky and Head of Egypt culture Center in Baku Ahmad Sami.

Together with the official delegation, representatives of 13 leading Egyptian tour operators were among those who participated.

The Chairman of International Eurasia Press Fund, Mr. Umud Mirzayev welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of development of mutual cooperation ties between Azerbaijan and Egypt.

Mr. Mirzayev noted that the relation between Azerbaijan and Egypt is strengthening and it is vital to carry these relations into the tourism sector as well.

Umud Mirzayev stressed that development of future cooperation perspectives with a country that is on the top list of tourists’ attraction is crucial for both Azerbaijan and the IEPF as the leading representative of civil society in Azerbaijan.

Later, the guests were presented about the Eurasia Diary analytical information gateway launched by the IEPF, operating in five languages.

Egyptian Hotel Chamber President Mr. Mohamed Ayoub and Head of Egyptian Tourist Authority Prague Office Mr. Mohamed Desouky in their place expressed their gratitude to the IEPF for the meeting.

Noting the priority that the tourism industry has in Egypt’s economic policies, the representatives illustrated big developments achieved in this sector.

The guest also mentioned that the nearest future a new direct flight expected to open between Baku and Egypt. The average price a four-hour flight will be approximately around $350.

They also re-stated that the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt and tour operators are eager to develop further cooperation so that the people from Azerbaijan could benefit from Egypt’s tourist resorts with more attractive tourism packets.
