Egyptian newspaper highlights Ramadan traditions in Azerbaijan

The Egyptian “Al-Masry Al-Youm” newspaper has posted an article highlighting Ramadan traditions in Azerbaijan.
“Numerous events are organized during the holy month of Ramadan in Azerbaijan, where more than 95 percent of the population is Muslim. The people of Azerbaijan stop wedding ceremonies during Ramadan. Mass breakfasts and iftar dinners are held for the needy families, and relatives visit each other. During the holy month of Ramadan, Azerbaijanis pay zakat al-Fitr to the needy,” the article underlined.
