Eleven bodies removed from rubble in Russia’s Magnitogorsk - Emergencies Ministry

Baku, January 2, AZERTAC

Rescuers have recovered eleven bodies from the rubble of a collapsed residential building in Magnitogorsk, an employee of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Main Directorate in the Chelyabinsk Region told reporters on Wednesday, according to TASS.

"Eleven bodies have been retrieved," he said. Earlier reports said nine bodies had been recovered from the rubble.

A section of a ten-story apartment block collapsed in Magnitogorsk on December 31. About 30 people are still unaccounted for. The Russian Investigative Committee views a household gas explosion as the main cause of the accident.
