Energy Systems Lab opened in Azerbaijan Technical University
Baku, February 20 (AZERTAC). An energy systems laboratory has today opened at the Azerbaijan Technical University at the initiative of Araz Energy Company, which is a strategic partner of the US GE Digital Energy-Power Quality and ETAP electrical engineering software.
At the launch ceremony, rector of the University, Havar Mammadov stressed the importance of the newly opened laboratory.
The rector said that “the laboratory will eliminate the technical problems to come across in industrial enterprises, communal services and in high density housing”.
The system with modern equipments and in special program form was presented to the Azerbaijan Technical University by GE Digital Energy and ETAP Company.
The laboratory was supplied with algorithms, configurations and modern half station automation systems.
The rector also spoke about ICT facilities being applied in the university. “After declaration of 2013 the “Year of ICT in Azerbaijan” by the Head of State, important steps have been taken towards expansion of the use of an e-government portal that gives reason to say that great success will be achieved in the field of information and communication technologies in the country this year.”
The first training courses at the lab. to be conducted by specialists of the General Electric and ETAP Company will be held on February 21-22.
