Executive Council of Eurasian Silk Way Universities Consortium convenes in Kuala Lumpur

Baku, February 14 (AZERTAC). Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, has hosted a meeting of the Executive Council of the Eurasian Silk Way Universities Consortium bringing together scientists, education experts and government officials from member states, including Pakistan, Italy, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, India, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The participants discussed a range of issues, including a student and teacher exchange among higher educational institutions of member states, attraction of new members to the Consortium, and the establishment of a unique database of the organization.

Rector of Azerbaijan Tourism Institute Jafar Jafarov was among the participants at the event.

Founded in 2010, the Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium aims to promote education and intercultural dialogue in Silk Road countries, and restore and preserve rich cultural heritage fostering academic development.
