Executive Director of CGSS: Pakistan has supported Azerbaijan since the beginning of the Karabakh conflict

Baku, April 13, AZERTAC

“Pakistan has supported Azerbaijan since the beginning of the Karabakh conflict. Pakistan supports Azerbaijan in the restoration of the liberated territories and hopes that the former IDPs will soon return to their native lands,” Executive Director of the Pakistan Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) Khalid Taimur Akram has told journalists.

“We saw the unity of the Azerbaijani people during the Second Karabakh War and share Azerbaijan's joy over the liberation of the lands,” he said.

Akram said that relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan date back to 1991, adding that Pakistan was one of the first three countries to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan.

He praised the current state of relations between the two countries.
