Expert: “Developing Human Capital, Building a Better Future” is the most important theme in the world now
Paris, October 5, AZERTAC
“I am delighted that Baku, Azerbaijan have chosen human capital as the theme. It is the most important theme in the world right now,” said international expert on human capital Peter Fisk, who attended a symposium on Baku’s bid to host World Expo 2025 in Paris, in his interview with AZERTAC.
He hailed the importance of the theme “Developing Human Capital, Building a Better Future” which Azerbaijan has chosen for its bid to host World Expo 2025.
“It is about how you can use technology together with people, how you develop people for technological future. That is why I think this is a very smart, exciting, and engaging theme, but it is also a theme of future and the theme of winners,” Fisk said.
“We focused on three components of economic capital. Firstly, by education, how do people learn new and definite ways not just at schools, but throughout their lives. Secondly, healthcare, you have got the education but you need fitness in vitality too in order to thrive, move forward, and collaborate with each other. And thirdly, the world of work is changing incredibly rapidly too. Near the skills of future are not the things which the machines can do, the skills of the future are the other things which machines cannot do, more emotional, more intuitive, more creative. And if you combine all these three themes together - education, health and work- they are all about investing in people, investing in our human capital, and that’s why achieving progress in this new and exciting world,” the expert added.
