FAO starts Project "Support to seed sector development in Azerbaijan"

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) starts the implementation of the Project “Support to seed sector development in Azerbaijan”. It was informed at the seminar held in Baku devoted to the implementation of this project, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

Speaking at the seminar, Imran Jumshudov, Head of the Crop Department in Azerbaijan's Ministry of Agriculture and Mustafa Imir, FAO representative in Azerbaijan, stressed their assurance on successful implementation of the project.

National Coordinator of the project Mohtasim Ahmadov, FAO expert Hafiz Muminjanov and others made reports at the seminar.

The participants exchanged views on the questions of seed sector, opportunities, the duties, staff training, the quality control of seed and others.

The seminar participants prepared detailed plan for the implementation of the project.
