FIRST DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION VYACHESLAV TRUBNIKOV ARRIVED IN BAKU

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Trubnikov arrived in Baku on November 26.
At the Bina airport, the high-ranking Russian diplomat was met by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov and Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Nikolay Ryabov.
Asked by journalists about the goal of the visit, Mr. V. Trubnikov said he was going to meet with the leadership of Azerbaijan to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest including those related to development and deepening of the bilateral relations, settlement of the Nagorno-Garabakh conflict and the situation in the Caucasus as a whole.
During his meeting with representatives of 170-housand Russian community in Azerbaijan held today at the Russian Embassy, Mr. V. Trubnikov has pointed out the important role of President Heydar Aliyev in development and strengthening of the bilateral relations.
