FRANCE AND EGYPT CONCERNED WITH SITUATION IN MID-EAST

President of France Jacques Chiraq met with President Hosni Mubarak at the Elysee palace, April 19. In the course of the negotiations, the presidents expressed concern with the last developments in the Middle East and condemned the killing of “Khamas” leader Abdulaziz Rantissi.

Supporting the peaceful resolution to the conflict, presidents suggested negotiations between leaders of Israel and Palestine. In President Jacques Chiraq’s opinion, there is no other way to maintain peace and security in the region.

Presidents also exchange views on the events in Iraq and wished the soonest restoration of peace and harmony to this country.
