    Fernandinho delighted with Champions League century

    Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho expressed his delight at reaching a century of UEFA Champions League appearances following City's 0-0 draw with Sporting CP, according to the official website of the club.

    And Fernandinho took the opportunity to thank those that have helped him on his footballing journey after reaching his latest milestone.

    He said: "I am so proud of that (reaching 100 Champions League appearances) and I am so grateful to both teams I have played for (Manchester City and Shakhtar Donetsk).

    "It is a big achievement for me and thanks to my teammates and anyone who was involved in that."
