Former Vice-President of Exxon Mobil: Azerbaijan has huge potential in development of alternative energy sources

Azerbaijan, as a green energy hub, has a huge potential in the development of alternative energy sources, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery, former Vice-President of Exxon Mobil, Member of Board of Trustees of Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) Jean Baderschneider told a news conference on the 10th Global Baku Forum.
Noting that Azerbaijan, as the most important country in the region, contributes to ensuring Europe’s energy security, Baderschneider stressed the importance of alternative energy sources. She also emphasized that there is an acute need for renewable energy sources.
Jean Baderschneider underlined that the Southern Gas Corridor makes a huge contribution to Europe's energy security, adding that the South Caucasus region is now playing an incredibly important role in the world.
