Dear Mr. President,

Please accept my congratulations on your re-election as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The election results are clear evidence of the strong popular support for the reforms conducted under your leadership. The victory in the presidential election gives you a mandate to continue your progress towards modernization and democratization of the friendly Azerbaijan.

I believe that during your new mandate Bulgarian-Azerbaijani relations will continue to flourish and cover new areas. Energy and economic ties are the heart of our bilateral agenda and indeed the relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

Despite this, I am sure that there are untapped opportunities in the field of culture, science and education, in the social sphere and direct contacts between citizens of our states.

I wish you good health and every success in your efforts to improve the welfare of the people of Azerbaijan and the development of bilateral relations with the Republic of Bulgaria.
