Azerbaijan is an important country located on the ancient Silk Road. Friendly relations have always existed between our countries throughout the history. During 22 years since establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, rapid progress based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit was achieved in friendly relations of our countries. I hail your important contribution to achieving this goal.

We share our views and had a sincere and pragmatic conversation on deepening bilateral relations at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia as part of your visit to the People`s Republic of China in May this year. I attach great importance to development of China-Azerbaijan relations and we are ready to work together with You to elevate these relations to a much higher level for the sake of interests of our countries` peoples.
