The most important condition set by the Federal Department for all foreign citizens is basic knowledge of the official language. Otherwise, the newcomers will not be granted residential permit.

Immigrants residing in Germany for a long time without properly knowing the language of the country of residence will face serious trials. The department is destined to attract them to the “language courses for the integration”. The ones who will refuse to attend courses and fail exams will face the rejection of the dole, social financial provision and extension of the residential permit.
