GERMAN AZERBAIJANIS CONVENE IN BERLIN
Berlin, June 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijanis living in Germany have come together in Berlin for an event co-organized by the European Azerbaijan Society and German Azerbaijanis Coordination Center.
The event saw participation of nearly 300 members of the Azeri diaspora, Azerbaijani students, representatives of the country`s embassy in Berlin as well as foreign guests.
The event was opened by Executive Director of the German Azerbaijanis Coordination Center Samira Patzer-Ismayilova.
Azeri ambassador Parviz Shahbazov said it was important the event was held on the eve of Azerbaijan`s National Salvation Day. He also highlighted Azerbaijan`s socio-economic and political achievements. The ambassador touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, expressing gratitude to Germany for “supporting Azerbaijan`s just stance”.
Chairman of the European Azerbaijan Society Taleh Heydarov highlighted the organization`s priorities.
German MP Phillip Missfelder touched upon the Azerbaijan-Germany relations, describing them as rapidly developing. He said Germany placed a particular emphasis on its relations with Azerbaijan.
He also praised Azerbaijan`s economic achievements.
