Revenue into the state budget of Azerbaijan for January-July this year amounted to 2.738 trillion manat, which is 105.9% of the predicted target. According to the State Statistical Committee, this represents a 38.8% growth year-on-year.

Expenditure of the state budget for that period amounted to 2.581 trillion manat, which is 95.4% of the predicted target. However, that figure is 29.5% more than the index for January-July 2002.

The rough breakdown shows that 17.9% of the total sum of the expenditure went to education, 17.6% - social protection and protection, 22% - for the development of the economy, 9.5% for the maintenance of judiciary and law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and special forces, 0.7% on payment of membership dues to international organizations, 3.9% on health. Expenses on culture, mass media and religion for that period was 2.4% of the budget resources. Expenses on education was fulfilled by 90%, on health - 78.7%, on culture, mass media and religion - 94.3%, maintenance of law enforcement agencies, prosecutors and special forces - 92.7%, development of economy - 112.6%, social expenses - 100.3%. penses - 100.3%.
