GUAM actively developing tourism industry
Kyiv, April 15 (AZERTAC). The 9th meeting of the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development`s working group on tourism was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. The forum has brought together GUAM Secretary General Valeriy Chechelashvili, minister of economy and stable development of Georgia Veronika Kobalia, Chief of the department of tourism of the Azeri ministry of culture and tourism Aydin Ismiyev, Program coordinator of GUAM Secretariat Sabuhi Temirov, high ranking representatives of Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine and Japan.
The meeting focused on joint tourism projects to be implemented in cooperation with Japan, arrangement on informational and press tours for Japanese travel companies and mass media.
The participants have adopted a Tbilisi declaration and approved a GUAM-Japan joint tourism product development program. The participants of the meeting also visited Batumi.
